Adoption Application

No cat should ever be sent home without an application being filed.  An applicant can file an application for one cat and choose to adopt another; only one application per potential adopter is needed.  Check out the Instructions for more information on the who, what, and how the application process works.

Adoption Contract

Per state law, ALL cats must go home with a completed contract.  Each contract should have FULL medical records filled out, ALL of the adopters information, and signatures of BOTH the adopter and the St. Sophia’s Representative.  Check out the instructions to learn how to complete the adoption contract.

Foster to Adopt Contract

The Foster to Adopt option gives an adopter a “trial period” within which they can “test” to see if the cat is a good fit for their home.  This option is NOT available to all cats and NOT available to all potential adopters.  Check out the instructions for more details.

Medical Liability Waiver

Prior to adoption, all of the cats are FULLY vetted.  This includes required by law, preventative, routine, as well as veterinary recommended care.  In special circumstances, a cat may need to go home with a Medical Liability Waiver.  Check out the instructions for more details.

Pre-Surgical Waiver

Per state In rare situations we may choose to send home a cat prior to it being sterilized (spayed/neutered).  Check out the instructions to learn more about which cats and kittens qualify for this additional waiver.
